a letter to misery

“Once upon a time, there was this little girl. She was different from all the other children, she was… a ghost. At least she felt like one. So she spent every single day alone, wondering why, staring at this big old mirror. She somehow knew that Misery was the cause and the solution for all her problems… so, one day, she wrote her a letter.”

Go away, once and for all. Stop consuming with your pain, stop drowning everything in your tears. Look at yourself. Find a mirror, just look right through it. What do you see?

Pain… Suffering… Tears… Blood.

You see sadness in your eyes. You see the face of misery. Why does it have to be like that, you wonder, hoping for a truthful answer. Look around. Start searching.

Why do I feel like this ?

You look at your face, you see tears. You look at your hands, you see blood.

Have you ever stopped to wonder how I feel? Yes, me. I’m the one you haunt every single day. You find me in the mirrors; you chase me in my dreams. And you make me feel terrible. So now I demand you to go. For good. Go away, get lost. We can’t live like this anymore…

“And so, Misery disappeared. Along with her, trapped inside that big old mirror, the little girl was finally lost. No one could ever find her, for she vanished forever. And know, besides feeling, the child finally knew what it was like to be a ghost.”
